Chilly End of Week.

Very cold temperatures are still hanging around across central IL for Wednesday.

Highs will remain chilly over the next several days.  Flurries will be a possibility for Thursday as a weak upper level disturbance moves through the Midwest.

Keep our eye on the possibility of accumulating snow moving in for the start of the weekend.

Snow flurries!

Some light snow showers have been rolling through central IL through much of the late afternoon and evening on Tuesday, giving many areas a brief dusting of the white stuff.

Chilly Temperatuers will remain across central Illinois for much of the work/school week.  Average highs should be around 42°.  We will fall well short of that as we move to the start of December on Wednesday.

Steady Temps Tonight-Cooler Tomorrow

A cold front will push through the region over the next 6 hours, keeping our chances for rain with steady temps throughout the overnight.

Once the cold air starts to move in, precip could change over to light flurries through the late morning and afternoon.

Cooler than average temps will remain through the rest of the work/school week.

A Great Start to the Week!

Relief from the heat and humidity as moved into central Illinois to start off the new work week.  Highs were at or slightly below normal.  A very comfortable overnight will be in the forecast, so plan on giving the air conditioner a bit of a breather.

An upper level disturbance will bring shower and thunderstorm chances to central Illinois as early as late afternoon for our western counties.

Don't get used to the pleasant temperatures...a warm up back to the 90's will be upcoming later in the week.

Hottest Day of the Year??

Friday is setting up to be the hottest day of the year.  Although we won't be close to the record high for tomorrow, we could see the hottest temp so far for the year.

Dangerous heat and humidity will continue into Saturday afternoon before a cold front moves into the region this weekend.

As previously mentioned, a cold front will push through the region on Saturday.  That will bring showers and storms to the area as early as Saturday morning.  Some of the storms later in the day could be strong to severe.
